Migrating DayZ servers from OmegaManager to Architect

To start your migration from OmegaManager to Architect, you first need to install Architect and be able to access Architect Manager with your agent(s) connected.

Before working within Architect you need to gather the following information for each game server deployment you want to migrate:

  • omega.cfg
  • Copy of your active persistence and player database
  • Copy of your custom configurations
  • Copy of any other files you want to migrate

Within Architect Manager you can now start the download of DayZ and/or DayZ Experimental under `Titles`.

Once downloaded, you are ready to deploy the servers through Architect.

  • Navigate to `Deploy a server`
  • Select DayZ or DayZ Experimental depending on which branch you want to run
  • Enter the ports you have configured for your existing instance
If you dont know your ports, check omega.cfg for game port, serverDZ.cfg for Steam query port and BEServer_x64.cfg for RCon port
  • Click `Deploy from template`
  • Select `From omega.cfg`
  • Paste the full content of your `omega.cfg` into the input field
  • Click `Deploy`
  • Do not exit the deploy page, let it run until you are redirected to the server overview

After following these steps, you are now able to paste the copies you made of your active persistence, player database, custom configurations and any other files into the new server deployment.

The game server is now migrated to Architect. You can repeat this for each game server deployment you want to migrate.

After the migration you should verify the firewall rules within your operating system, and any external firewalls you may have to ensure uninterrupted services for your players.
