Do's and don'ts of public ban listings

Congratulations, your banned list can now be displayed publicly. This means that you now have the option to enable this setting on the Overview page of your ban list.

With this option comes responsibility. You should make sure that your ban list remains objective and reasonable, and that the wording is polite. Your ban list can now also be reported. So, if others feel that you are violating good manners, you run the risk of being removed from the list again.

We advise you to establish some general quality and conduct guidelines with your staff for issuing ban entries, and to review your existing ban entries before enabling the listing option.

For example, if you only issue ban entries for server-specific issues, your ban list would not need to be listed at all. All ban entries should stand up to general scrutiny.
